Matter of the meeting: Works of the promenade between Puerto Latino’s II and Marina (Puerto Tomás Maestre)
These are the main aspects of the meeting held past friday on La Manga Consorcio regarding the PROMENADE TO THE MARINA.
First part of the meeting:
- The problems comes since 30/40 years ago, time in which there were no council plans in La Manga to open avenues, sidewalks or easements.
- The result of this is that now there are a lot of urbanisatiosn that owns spaces that should be of public domain.
- New council governments are trying to negotiate (reach a deal) with these urbanisations avoiding expropriations.
So, when they find an urge to finish a work that is blocked because the plot is private, they try to gain access to the plot dealing with the costs of the work and always trying to get more pieces of private urbanisation (that are of public interest)
- In this specific case, the urbanisation Puerto Latino II owns the space through which the promenade must run. This issue is blocked very long time ago. An agreement has not been reached in all this time beetween Puerto Latino II and the council.
Second part:
- The council propose to the Puerto Latino II administrators (again) to receive the plot for free. In exchange, they will finish the promenade.
- Puerto Latino II Administrators opinion is that it will be a very difficult issue because all the owners must agree. Unanimity is required for this matter. There will be a general meeting on Puerto Latino before easter.
- Other solution could be (and that will also be presented to Puerto Latino’s owners on the next meeting) is that the urbanisation itself takes care of the work with the help (economic help) of other urbanisations located on the sorroundings and that are interested in enjoying that promenade finished.
- Once the work is finished, the urbanisation gaves it to the council so they can take care of the maintainance. But;
- Puerto Latino must execute the work according to certain aspects that, later, allow the council to receive the work done.
- And, before the initiation of the work, the council might be interested in dealing with the urbanisation some piece of terrain (at other part of the plot).
- There might be a conflict between the execution of the work and the location of Puerto Latino’s the pool. So;
- The council will study the limits and status of that project closely.
- They commited to send there technics to watch the plot closely, to see the mapping and making a report with a reasonable proposal to be taken to Puerto Latino’s next general meeting.
- We will be able to see an advance of that report / proposal on a next meeting set for the FRIDAY 13th of February at 9. 30 am

Dette er hovedtrekkene i møtet avholdt siste fredag på La Manga Consorcio om promenaden til MARINA.
Første del av møtet:
1. Problemene kommer siden 30/40 år siden, tid der var det ingen kommunale planer i La Manga for å åpne avenyer, fortau eller servitutter.
